The Story of the Whale Shark
"Did you know whale sharks are now an endangered species? Sadly, these gentle giants are being killed at unsustainable rates, mainly for shark fin soup. The whale shark's beautiful pattern and great size - they are the largest shark species - makes them a coveted target of the shark fin soup industry. Truly tragic, since these giant filter feeders are one of the most peaceful, docile, and, in my opinion, most beautiful shark species. Their killing is also wrongheaded: The global economic value of a live whale shark far outweighs the value of its fins in the shark fin soup trade. Eco-tourism is sustainable and has multi-level benefits to local economies and the environment. Please help support responsible eco-tourism that supports research and responsible boating through their known aggregation sites. Mahalo (thank you) for purchasing this suit and becoming a voice for these voiceless, beautiful giants of the sea." - Ocean Ramsey
The Story of the Water Print
"For me, this water piece represents life. I feel that water, and specifically the ocean, is the connective medium that links us all together. It also reminds me to live life to the fullest, because whether I'm sliding across a wave on a surfboard, or gliding underwater among sharks, whales and dolphins, these are the best and most profound moments of my life. I hope this piece inspires and helps you to live life to the fullest, enjoy your time in the water more, and especially to make choices and take actions to protect our oceans and marine life. Please help to reduce, reuse and recycle for future generations to enjoy." - Ocean Ramsey
The Story of Dolphins - Keep Them Wild
"The design of the dolphin print was inspired by a photo of a wild Hawaiian spinner dolphin pod taken by marine conservationist @JuanSharks of O'ahu. Extremely intelligent, playful beings, dolphins have strong social bonds, advanced sensory systems and use a larger percentage of their brains than humans do. They are also crucial to the earth's food web. Unfortunately, in some areas of the world, these gentle creatures are being killed because they are seen as competition for food by fishermen, accidentally caught in longline fishing nets, or captured to perform for tourists in marine parks. You can help keep them wild and free by avoiding longline-caught seafood, single-use plastics, which are often ingested by dolphins and other marine life, and not supporting captivity for entertainment. By wearing these pieces you can be a reminder of the importance of these incredible animals to the health of our oceans. Mahalo (thank you) for helping us raise awareness." - Ocean Ramsey
